Elected to three terms on City Council in Montgomery County's second largest city

• Vice Mayor City of Kettering 2004-2006
• Appointed by council to the Kettering Development Corporation 2005-2007
• Participated in the successful implementation of economic development projects including Kettering Business Park, the redevelopment of the South Dixie corridor (Governor's Place retail/commercial development) and Van Buren shopping center
• Initiated the Frail Elderly Task Force, the first of its kind in Dayton region 1999
• Recognized locally by the Senior Resource Connection for "Outstanding service to the Senior community by an Elected Official" 2001
• Chairman of Public Health and Safety Committee
• Council Liaison to Board of Community Relations
• Alternate delegate to MVRPC
